~I'm Yours Forever~ :Volkner x Reader:

It was dark. Not even a sliver of light reached the young girl's sparkling [e/c] gems.


Of course, [Name] didn't feel afraid, as she trusted Volkner enough to lead her in the right direction, blindfold or not.


With each step forward, [Name] grew more and more excited, thinking of all the things that could be waiting for her when she would eventually remove the black cloth that blocked her vision.


Her mind and feet halted when Volkner himself did, unable to stop the silly grin that brought itself into being. "Close your eyes for a sec, okay?"


He instructed, to which she nodded eagerly, firmly keeping them shut. Gently, the blond reached behind the [h/c] tresses and pulled, the blindfold coming undone with his touch. Once finished, he stepped back to allow her to see. "You can open them now, [Name]."


She didn't let him complete his sentence, taking in the room, as well as Volkner's surprise. "I never pegged you for the sappy type."


[Name] said, looking over the scene before her. The cogs and gears intricately laid out to create the Sunnyshore City Gym were now motionless. The usual bright lights, dim. The emergency bulbs making very little visible, save for the small picnic blanket where the Gym Leader himself typically waited for worthwhile challengers.


The blond simply scratched the back of his neck; though he was reasonably confident in his move, there was a niggling in the back of his mind that told him otherwise, especially given [Name]'s somewhat damp reaction.


With a loud, sudden clap of her hands, she turned to Volkner with a smile that set his heart fluttering wildly. "But I love it!"


[Name] walked over to the setup with Volkner following close behind, trying to stifle a laugh. It piqued the electric type specialist's interest, that was for sure. As if reading his mind, [Name] spoke up. "I was just thinking about last year."


She chuckled again, and his pale face began rapidly turning to red in embarrassment. "Remember? You sent me a card-"


"Don't make me think about."


"And how it said-"


"[Name], please."


"Alright. Fine." She pouted, deciding her torture wasn't done yet. Leaning in closer, Volkner felt her hot breath on his ear. "I'm yours forever~"
